Phillips AutoTech provides professional Ford Ka BSI cloning services for a variety of electrical and immobiliser-related faults linked to defective body control modules.
The BSI (Body Systems Interface) is responsible for controlling and communicating with many of the vehicle’s electronic systems. When faults occur within the unit, it can result in multiple electrical issues across the vehicle.
Using advanced programming and diagnostic equipment, we copy the required immobiliser and vehicle data from the original BSI module onto a compatible replacement unit, enabling the replacement module to operate correctly within the vehicle.
Our cloning service offers a reliable and cost-effective alternative to expensive dealership replacement modules and coding charges, with many units functioning as plug & play once fitted.

What Does The BSI Control?
The BSI unit controls and communicates with numerous vehicle systems including central locking, lighting functions, electric windows, instrument cluster communication, alarm systems, key recognition, windscreen wipers and washers, along with various sensors and electronic modules throughout the vehicle.

Common Fault Symptoms
Typical symptoms of a faulty Ford Ka BSI module can include windscreen wipers or washer systems failing to operate correctly, interior lighting faults, exterior lighting issues, fuel gauge problems, intermittent non-start faults, immobiliser issues, communication errors and central locking failures.

Some vehicles may also suffer from dashboard warning lights, instrument cluster malfunctions or several electrical faults appearing at the same time.

Common Causes Of Failure
BSI module failures are commonly caused by internal electronic faults, water ingress, power supply problems, CAN bus communication errors, voltage fluctuations or battery-related issues.
Software corruption or firmware problems can also affect module operation and lead to immobiliser or communication-related faults.

Cloning Procedure
Once received, the original BSI module is tested and the required data is copied onto a compatible donor unit supplied by the customer. The replacement module is then tested where possible before being returned ready for fitting.

Please ensure both the original module and replacement donor module are clearly marked inside the parcel.

Important Information
This is a mail-in cloning service only — no physical item is supplied.

Customers must provide a compatible replacement donor unit. Please ensure modules are packaged securely before shipping to prevent transit damage. Turnaround time is typically within 24 hours of receiving.
We are unable to fully diagnose vehicle faults remotely and fault codes alone are not always sufficient to confirm a faulty BSI module. Fault resolution cannot be guaranteed if the problem is caused by wiring faults, external components or incorrect diagnosis.
If you are unsure whether your module is compatible, feel free to contact us with the BSI part number or a clear photograph before purchasing.
